80K+ words now. Though I will be doing a wholesale rewrite of I would say the last several chapters, not to mention moving everything around. Interesting, but SA just proposed to OW in chapter 13. A whole new twist that I really like, plus I think it solves a lot of issues with the ending that I've been ignoring in the hopes they'd go away, which, it would seem, they just have. I've had two Mondays off for writing, and it's really, really nice.

I am in the midst of the changes noted in the previous entry. Also, I have taken what is for me a huge step. I've reduced my day job hours to 4 days a week and will now be spending my Mondays writing. I'm still wrestling a bit with how to most effectively do the ghost scenes. Also, I'm worrying that though there are lots of guests, I rarely use them. They're invisible. That, I think, is the least of my problems. However, I can now take some (OK, lots) of pleasure in knowing that Lord Ruin got a 4 star review, which means at least one other person really liked it. I can do this. I can make the Spare an engrossing, sensual story of destiny and love. 'Nuff said. I should go back to writing now.

76K+ words. I've drastically reordered chapters. To pretty good effect I think. But this a.m. I had a splendid idea, which will change the basis on which OW and SA interact. Instead of being suspicious, which I think I don't do well, he will be grateful that OW was with AA when he died. I feel much better. I think this is basically done, plot wise, now I just have to make this finished, writing wise.
