Am in the middle of a read-through of The Spare. Going well. Some good ideas for tweaks. See some places where the romance loses focus. But now I know I have to fix that now and not later. Will fix while armed with laser focus and a red pen, of course. My draft of an idea is really coming along and is distracting me a bit from The Spare. I'm calling it The List now. I've been working up story and synopsis. Perhaps a comedic touch this time? As ever, I seem to see him much clearer than her, but she's more "there" than I expected. Now, I will stop procrastinating and get to work on The Spare.

My proposal on The Spare went off to my agent and presumably will soon be on its way to Liesure. We'll see. Many trepidations about a proposal on a project that isn't done. But, having to polish the synopsis was unexpectedly helpful. In a similar vein, I've started drafting up an idea for another book. And I think it is true that doing a complete synopsis first is best. Maybe I'll avoid the spinning wheels on this one. I guess, too, I need to decide whether I'm going to fix A Stranger's Heart or start this other project.
