omg I *just* finished the Raven Prince... uh I guess technically today, since I was up until like 4-5 AM reading it O_o
I would want to be a leopard, of course. Predator, pretty, sleek, strong... and you know. The whole four legs thing. Plus an awesome tail.
I'm not a huge bird person, so the raven is out - though the parallels to cupid & psyche were cute - and... serpent? I don't hate snakes or anything but slithering around on the ground, being generally hated and having to shed my skin all the time? Not appealing.
Awesome giveaway :) Thanks for having it Carolyn!

Hmm... Normally I would go for the leopard but I want to imagine something different. I would go for the serpent. Serpents are deadly, cunning and a great predator. Serpents also symbolize regeneration, rebirth, wisdom and seduction. So being a serpent doesnt sound to bad. Besides if a were-serpent has the same gift (hypnotism) as the snake in Jungle book then its a plus.

Totally not fair for me to enter this contest, having won the one before. But OMG I loved Hoyt's Four Soldiers series, and I really need to read the earlier one.
Normally I'd go with the big cat shape, because I love big cats. But for a shape-shift, I'd have to go with a bird -- nothing would be cooler than being able to fly!

The Raven Prince got me hooked on reading Hoyt. I just haven't read the rest of this series yet cause the books are held captive in a friend's house. Augh.
I'd like to be a serpent at this time of the year so I'd have a good reason to hibernate.

Definitely a leopard. To be that self-assured and graceful and beautiful and dangerous--it's a heady combination.
This is one of my fave trilogies! And THE RAVEN PRINCE one of the first historical romances I read and reviewed. I'd definitely pick the raven. So I could fly to wherever I wanted, free and soring high in the sky!!!
Ooo! Carolyn, you sure know how to tempt a lady!
I'm going to go a little cliche and say leopard. The shift to wings or legless would be too weird for me, I think.

I'm such a kitty person and I would love to be one. I would purr the whole time if I find the right human to stroke me!
Okay, gutter mind here. Just ignore me, or better not! Now I confused myself. Where's the coffee? LOL

I don't need to win the books since I just finished them just last week. They were great!!
I would choose the raven. It would be so cool to be able to fly and ravens are *very* smart birds.

Love EH!! She is amazing, and I would love to be a raven. Flying would be amazing.
I would love to be a leopard, they are so pretty but I would pick RAVEN I would love to fly around in polite society and listen to everyones conversations, they would never suspect, unless they were EA Poe, then I would really have something to worry about. Plus, black is my favorite color!!
...love the Princes Trilogy. EH is one of my favorite authors! I, too, am drawn to the leopard for its fierceness & beauty, but would have to choose the raven because it can fly!
I think I'd pick Raven because it can fly and that's a huge advantage. A raven is also small and swift, very intelligent and clever. It doesn't hurt to have a raven's prophetic abilities either. Never mind that a raven is not as attractive as a serpent or a leopard.
BTW, Elizabeth Hoyt's novels are so memorable!

If I could shape shift, I'd want to be a leopard, but can I be a sleek, sexy black one? Everyone knows leopards are the smartest and best animal to shape shift into. I don't have any of Elizabeth's books in this series, I've just read her later ones, so this would be an awesome prize to win.
Oh my, this has got to be the best giveaways of the season...I LOVE EH!
If I were a shapeshifter I'd want to be a raven, the power of flight has always tantalized me.

If open to all then I am in :D Have heard such good things.
Hm, well I am a cat, but what kind. Well leopard since that was the question, though honestly perhaps just a cub. I am freespirited, mind of my own

I'd want to be a leopard. I've loved everything leopard print since I was a kid. If I could shift into a leopard, I could match my suitcases and shoes! (How perfect is that?)

I'd totally be a leopard. Because who wants to be a snake who slithers...not me. And as for a raven, while flying would be cool, it's a scavenger. I would prefer to be all sleek, spotted predator.
I just got done reading my first Hoyt and can't believe I've been missing out. Would love to win this trilogy!

I would so be a leopard... they are sleek and stealthy. I always think of the leopard in Seduced by Virginia Henley... intelligent, hiding high in tree branches, strong claws and teeth and a beautiful pelt and eyes.

Definitely, I'd choose to be a leopard--intelligent, cunning, graceful, strong and fearsome. (I would prefer a tiger, but since this is closest...)
I'd want to be a leopard. They're sleek, intelligent, and able to roam through the mountains in peace. And with the craziness of the holidays, we could all use a little peace right now.

I would shape shift into a raven. I have had the most amazingly exhilarating flying dreams and to be able to really fly would be a gift. I would imagine that in a sticky situation being able to shift into a raven would allow for a quick exit to safety and would also allow for secretive spying when needed. tracey@brauer.com
A leopard - intelligent, strong, graceful.

While I think leopard is very cool, I'm going to have to go with raven because I think the ability to fly would be absolutely amazing.
