Report! Report in, I say!

OK.

DX is done. The cover letter is done. The file is burned to a CD. Everything is in packaging. cc letter to my agent, done. It goes into the overnight mail system tomorrow.

Yesterday I finished the book I was reading and started a new one. The new one wasn't the book I thought. It's only OK. I tossed the previous one -- not worth the time.

Now, to work on The Rake. This is my vow.

I will wrestle this puppy to the ground if it kills me.

Comments:
You sound like me! I AM going to hang myself if my book isn't finished by tomorrow.

Good luck with the Rake.

I've been eagerly waiting for "The Rake" ever since I read an excerpt on your website. I therefore highly recommend locking yourself in your room, working feverishly until it's done, and only coming up for air and the occasional child-centered event. Good luck, break a leg, or whatever the appropriate salutation is to a writer and her WIP.

Thanks for the kind thoughts! Putting head down, going back to work....
