Arghh!

Ok, so the minute I hit publish post I started thinking, what happens if I send this to Chris, and he says, Carolyn, I can't publish this crap. And I say, OK, I'll fix it, but he says, no this can't be fixed. I'm really sorry.

Alternate nightmare: CK reluctantly includes DX, but I'm the weak link (again).

I think I'm getting hives.

I could just keep editing forever.

Damn deadlines. It has to go in the mail.

I mean, really, what if?

Comments:
Is there any reason to believe the scenario you've set up might possibly happen?

I'm guessing there is no precedent for imagining you'd be the 'weak link,' in which case you're just Sword of Damocles-ing yourself. Or so my therapist says (yes, I have one. Surprised? No, didn't think so).

Relax. Send it out. There's nothing you can do to it now anymore anyway--so stop wasting energy on it, and use your energy on something else.
