Interesting Slashdot thread on ebooks. Why /.ers read them or not. And by the way, they do discuss fiction. What about you? Why do you read or not read ebooks?

I would listen to books on CD more than I would have the chance to read ebooks online. Mine is more a time constraint..its much easier to curl up with a book in bed than try to curl up with a bulky computer. ;-)

Yeah, me too. Frankly, I can't see shelling out $400 or more for a reader device then pay for a download, when I can just buy the book and read wherever and whenever I want, and without fear of the battery running out. Heck, even when I download EC titles, I reformat them and then print them out so I can read in bed.
OOOH I forgot...can't read in the bath with those darn online books.
That love scene might be more of an electrifying experiance tho...lol ;-).
