More Fun with Words

Manuanoia: n. (manu · ah · NOYah). The near maniacal fear that the manuscript just submitted to one's agent is, in fact, the worst book ever written and means near instantaneous dropping from said agent's list. The fear has little, if any, basis in reality. Run for your life! That writer has manuanoia!

Not me this time, but someone who should know better. But I'm next. I can feel the nervous tic already.

Comments:
Thanks for not calling it Meganoia. Yeah, I'm off the ledge now. Good luck with the editor!!

The condition is too widespread to be limited to one person.

Bugger. And I thought it hit one only after handing in the dratted second book... Hmph.
