Feminism Pioneer Betty Friedan Dies at 85
As the 80's became the 90's I was baffled by people, men and women, who used "feminism" as if it were a bad word. Are you a woman with a job? Maybe a doctor or a lawyer, a SQL Server DBA, or perhaps a writer or teacher of literature? Is it incomprehensible to you that anyone could say, with a straight face, that you, as a woman, are not entitled to hold that job? Well, wake up and smell the roses. You have that incredible freedom to be baffled because of Betty Friedan and women like her.
