Even More Fun With Words

Hackolomaniac: n. (hacko · low · MAIN · e· ack). The megalomanical convicion, usu. of a writer who is not yet published, that she has nothing left to learn and that any words of advice dispensed to fellow writers are pearls of wisdom ignored at peril to everyone else's writing career. The hackolomaniac is frequently heard telling multipublished authors they don't know what it's like to be rejected and agentless, having never had to struggle learning how to write. Almost invariably, the hackolomaniac's writing is wretched beyond belief. No! No! Don't ask him about dialogue tags. He's a hackolomaniac!
