Oh, for crying out loud! I had no idea. I know some people who have gone the POD route and oh, just, sigh, I guess. Please, if you're someone who dreams of being published, here's perhaps the most important thing for you to know: There are NO shortcuts. There's only lots of work on your writing. That's it. If your book sucks, Amazon isn't going to get you a 3 book deal with Random House. Heck, not even Miss Snark could do that. Write a good book and you have a shot. Tip: If you have written only one draft, your book isn't good enough.
