now i'll have nightmares

Oh, golly. Just watched Dawn of the Dead. They just don't make scary movies like they used to. I'm sure I won't sleep tonight. When I wasn't being scared witless or saying oh, yuck! I was wondering just what it is about the story that makes it so compelling. Some are obvious - the underdog theme, people faced with insurmountable odds displaying a certain level of ingeniuity...

When I was 16 my parents left me alone overnight for the first time.....I promptly broke curfew and went to the midnight showing of that movie.then home alone to an empty house for the first time ever.talk about natural consequences for misbehavior, I still have nightmares about it!!!

Thanks for the congrats and ohmygawsh on the Dawn of the Dead story. That must have been pretty scary!
