It all goes to show you....

Today I heard from my agent's associate on the proposals she'd forwarded to her because the associate of her sells a lot of sci/fi fantasy etc. So, my agent liked Possession, but was not so crazy about Shift. This agent did not like Possession, but really liked Shift. They both liked Dark Elf. Which goes to show that tastes matter even when you're past the trying to published stage. However, the best thing is that I got great feedback on all the things she looked at. Her comments on Dark Elf were particularly helpful. So now I've gotten two sets of feedback from people whose job it is to read for salability. Invaluable. I'm still a bit at sea regarding where to concentrate my writing hours, though. Which of the three do I polish first?

Off to work on... something.

Comments:
It sounds like Dark Elf is the way to go, 'specially if you have useful comments.

Good luck, Carolyn, good to hear the feedback was okay, if ambiguous.

(Did you see Mrs. Giggles' review?)

My choice would be Dark Elf too, since they both like it. Besides I love the title :o)

Thanks! I got useful comments on everything they looked at, but it does seem that Dark Elf is a good project to work on.

And, yes, I have now seen Mrs. Giggles review. I am in no way crushed, because she gave a very insightful analysis about the book without attacking me personally, which is what some of the Amazon reviews felt like to me. In fact, she said some really great things about my writing AND the book.
