I've always wanted to have polls on my website but I've never had time to roll my own. But I've found a site (dpolls.com) that will do free ones and let you show them on your website. Mostly it's cool and it's free. It was easy to set up and easy to include on the relevant page. There are some limitations. You can only have seven items in your poll, so I ended up creating two. Fortunately, the subject matter lent itself to the division. Also, and this seems dumb to me, you can have seven items, but the poll can't display all seven in the poll area, you have to scroll to see all the choices. Very bad interface design. Choices below the fold (as it were) are going to be at a disadvantage.
