long day sigh

This is my long day. Didn't make it to the gym because it's also parent-teacher conference week. Had to go back to work today. That was hard. Have set aside Whitman for Melville's Piazza Tales. I think I read this years ago. I'm enjoying it quite a lot. Still stressing over the love/hate it for A Darker Crimson. Really really strong reactions. Oh, well. Tired. I want to start writing chapters for the next project. Still no word from my agent on the proposal for the Rake. Right now I'm just feeling really pissy about me and writing.

Comments:
Carolyn,

You have my sympathy on the Amazon reviews. I'd be upset too, and angry in your shoes. Heck, I'm still stuck on the "too much romance" comments on my book.

In the "no author is ever happy" column, I've been wondering if I'm boring and mediocre, and that's why so few people have posted reviews for me.

Patti

Carolyn, who would not be upset about these kind of reviews? ((((hugs))))) to you.

But, as one of my writer friends told some time ago, when you get strong reactions, you've written a good book. :)

Patti - you have too much romance, I have too much action. You wrote a way cool book, as well you know. Thanks for the hugs Sandy. As I mentioned elsewhere A Darker Crimson is either a Tragedy or a book that proves I'm the next big thing in paranormal romance. Sigh. I made one person tired and someone else mad me because I should have made Lath the hero (OK, secret, that is the one and only thing I wanted to do but wasn't allowed to do. But Tiber is a great hero.)
