More work on The Spare. 73K now. Complete re-order of chapters 5-24. Work, work, work. And more work. Some of the chapters I haven't worked on in a while seem pretty stupid to me. But, then, of course they're now out of synch with the more polished stuff, as one would expect. I'd like to see more non-ghost chemistry between SA and OW. Sometimes it's there, but mostly in the ghost stuff. I think they're too much at loggerheads. They need to be friends, too, somewhere along the line. Well, that may be wrong. I need to sit tight a couple of days, do some thinking and working-it-out and then re-read how things mesh with the reorder of the chapters. Still mulling over the Barbarian. Listening to a lot of Gaelic... I need more hours in the day or perhaps just fewer elsewhere, eh?
