Long ago, the portal was sealed, and Los Angeles -- now Crimson City -- rid itself of demons for eternity. Or so Claudia Donovan believed. With the city's other paranormals more active than ever, and the treaty between humans, vampires and werewolves all but dissovled, she and the rest of the CCPD had enough to handle.
But now her daughter has been kidnapped and she's learned that demons still exist-- and that they are plotting. SHe herself is caught in a dark ritual and must go to the creatures' shadowy world. To whom can she turn for help? The vampire Tiberiu Korzha whose eyes promise death but whose lips taste of eternity? Or does salvation lie with the powerful Lath, he who inspires lust beyond name?

Completed draft. This one has some troubles, but, if I do say so myself, signs of excellence. When I do sit down to fix this MS, I think it will be a heartbreaking read.
Lord Ruin contains broad hints of a story for Devon Carlysle and Emily Sinclair as well as Lucy and the earl of Thrale.
Have started notebooking about Devon and Emily. I now have a skeleton plot and am working on the details. Also, working on Lucy and Thrale. I think they're next. Hopefully, I didn't shoot my career dead by sending initial pages of The Spare. (Fortunately, that turned out to be not the case...)
A marriage-minded nobleman makes a list, checks it twice and hies incognito to the countryside to find himself a bride who meets his criteria. When he meets the perfect woman, she won't give him the time of day! Well, I tried to write this story, but it turned into The Heir. So, I guess I can still use this idea! I think the heroine's name will be Cordelia.
Well, now it's back to just an idea!
A Highlander ends up married to the daughter of an English lord. He speaks only Gaelic and she doesn't. She thinks he's the muscle, not the bridegroom. That's about all I have right now. Maybe he steals her away or perhaps the marriage is arranged. A Scottish setting, time period not set, up to 18th century. I've long wanted to do a medieval. This has moved beyond the idea. I've done a little plotting, setting up character backgrounds and making lists of Gaelic names for my hero.
Plotting stage, researching Scottish history, studying Gaelic.
